• Arbeite eng mit den Teams in unserer internen Entwicklungs- und Produkt-Management-Abteilung zusammen. Gemeinsam definiert ihr die Anforderungen, die unsere strategischen Ziele unterstützen.
• Entwickle unseren Next-Generation-Mailstore mit. Gestalte ihn so, dass er zukünftigen Anforderungen effizient und flexibel begegnen kann.
• Überwache das Kapazitätsmanagement und stelle sicher, dass unsere Storage-Infrastruktur dem Wachstum der Kunden und neuen Produktangeboten angepasst wird.
• Unterstütze bei der Koordination und Behebung von Incidents.
• Supporte uns, die Ursachen für Ausfälle und Probleme nachhaltig zu lösen.

Du hast bereits einschlägige Erfahrung als "System Engineer (w/m/d)" in großen, hochverfügbaren Linux-Umgebungen gesammelt? Du liebst Automatisierung und große Storage Systeme mit drehendem Metall und SSDs faszinieren dich? Dann freuen wir uns auf Deine Bewerbung!

• Du hast tiefgehende Erfahrungen mit verteilten und hochverfügbaren Systemen wie Ceph, Cassandra oder Elasticsearch/Opensearch.
• Du fühlst Dich sowohl mit Bare-Metal Hardware als auch mit dem Betrieb von Applikationen in unserer On-Prem Kubernetes Platform wohl, die von unserem Infrastructure Team betrieben wird.
• Du kennst noch andere Protokolle außer HTTP und auch ZFS ist Dir nicht fremd.
• Du bist vertraut mit Automatisierung und Configuration Management, kennst Tools wie z.B. Puppet und Ansible und verstehst die Prinzipien von Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD).
• Du hast praktische Erfahrung mit Monitoring auf OpenMetrics Basis (Prometheus, VictoriaMetrics, Grafana) und kannst damit nicht nur den Bedarf an Ressourcen vorrausschauend planen, sondern auch Probleme analysieren und beheben. Und wenn alle Stricke reißen, schreckst Du auch vor grep, sed und awk nicht zurück.

• Work closely with the teams in our internal development and product management department. Together you will define the requirements that support our strategic goals.
• Help develop our next-generation mailstore. Design it so that it can meet future requirements efficiently and flexibly.
• Monitor capacity management and ensure that our storage infrastructure is adapted to customer growth and new product offerings.
• Assist in the coordination and resolution of incidents.

Have you already gained relevant experience as a "System Engineer (f/m/d)" in large, highly available Linux environments? Do you love automation and are you fascinated by large storage systems with rotating metal and SSDs? Then we look forward to receiving your application!

• You have in-depth experience with distributed and highly available systems such as Ceph, Cassandra or Elasticsearch/Opensearch.
• You are comfortable with bare-metal hardware as well as running applications in our on-prem Kubernetes platform, which is operated by our infrastructure team.
• You are familiar with protocols other than HTTP and you are also familiar with ZFS.
• You are familiar with automation and configuration management, know tools such as Puppet and Ansible and understand the principles of Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD).
• You have practical experience with OpenMetrics-based monitoring (Prometheus, VictoriaMetrics, Grafana) and can therefore not only plan resource requirements in advance, but also analyze and resolve problems. And if all else fails, you won't shy away from grep, sed and awk.
