• Du entwickelst auf Basis aktueller Java 21 Technologien anspruchsvolle Features und Services sowohl für unser News-Portal als auch unsere internen Microservices.
• Du optimierst kontinuierlich Qualität, Performance und Wartbarkeit.
• Du erstellst für komplexe Probleme oder risikoreiche Anforderungen Architectural Spikes und Proof of Concepts.
• Du testest Deinen Code mithilfe unseres Continuous Integration und Delivery Setups mit hohem Automatisierungsgrad und bekommst so schnell Feedback, ob Dein Code hält was er verspricht oder ob die Pipeline bricht.
• Du verfolgst aktuelle Trends und neue Technologien und tauschst Dich im Rahmen von Brownbag-Sessions oder Slack-Days regelmäßig mit Deinem Team aus.

• Du hast sehr gute Kenntnisse im Umgang mit Java-Webtechnologien und den entsprechenden Frameworks (Freemarker, Servlet API, Spring, Spring Boot, Hibernate, ElasticSearch, Solr, Maven) sowie grundlegende Kenntnisse von HTML/CSS und Javascript.
• Du hast Erfahrung mit Linux als Entwicklungs- und Serverumgebung für Tomcat/Apache sowie mit Docker und Kubernetes als auch mit verteilten Systemen.
• Du weißt wie man performanten „Clean Code“ schreibt und wie Qualität und Performance mit Tools automatisiert getestet werden kann (JUnit 5, Selenium, JMeter).
• Idealerweise hast Du bereits Erfahrung mit CMS-Systemen, Continuous Delivery, REST, Python und GitLab CI.
• Du übernimmst gerne Verantwortung, befasst Dich im Rahmen Deiner eigenen Entwicklung gerne mit neuen Themen, wie z.B. Data Science, KI, Security oder DevOps, zudem ist Dir ein guter Teamgeist wichtig.

• You develop sophisticated features and services based on current Java 21 technologies for our news portal and internal microservices.
• You identify potentials for optimization in terms of quality, performance and maintainability.
• You tackle complex problems or high-risk systems using architectural spikes and proof of concepts.
• You test your code supported by our continuous integration and delivery setup with high degree of automation and by this receive quick feedback on whether your code lives up to its promises or breaks the pipeline.
• You pick up current trends and technologies and share your knowledge with your colleagues in regular brown bag sessions or slack days.

Do you have a technical degree such as computer science or a comparable education? You are interested in becoming part of a cross-functional web development team and developing new features for our News Portal and internal microservices as Senior Java Developer using e.g. AI? Your passion is software development and your Code is high quality? You are a born team player and your work attitude is „hands on“? You think the following suits you? • You have a good knowledge of Java web technologies and corresponding frameworks (Freemarker, Servlet API, Spring, Spring Boot, Hibernate, ElasticSearch, Solr, Maven) as well as basic knowledge of HTML/CSS and Javascript.
• You have work experience with Linux as development and server environment for a Tomcat/Apache stack and with Docker and Kubernetes as well as knowledge of dealing with distributed systems.
• You know how to write “clean code” with good performance and how quality and performance can be tested automatically utilizing tools (Junit 5, Selenium, Jmeter).
• Ideally you already have experience with CMS, Continuous Delivery, REST, Python and GitLabCI.
• You like to take on responsibility, like to deal with new topics such as data science, AI, security or DevOps as part of your own development, and a good team spirit is important to you.
