Stellenbeschreibung

Ihre Aufgaben:

We develop the most successful email and cloud services in Germany - GMX and WEB.DE - and are currently looking for an Android Developer. You have the possibility to work on-site in Munich or Berlin. As a member of the cross-functional agile Android Mobile Development team (10 people), your work will be geared to advancing the worldwide success of our products. By deploying and utilizing leading-edge technologies, you will be designing and developing new functionalities for more than 13 million of domestic GMX, WEB.DE, as well as mail.com Android users worldwide. You will have the opportunity to take advantage of "slack" days where you can try out new technologies, develop pet projects, work with open-source projects and thereby actively improve your knowledge and skills.

  • Further develop our email and cloud apps by writing structured, testable and maintainable code in Kotlin.
  • Keep our Apps up to date with the latest technologies.
  • Provide and accept meaningful feedback through code reviews, peer programming and technical discussions.
  • Actively participate in our team ceremonies, architectural discussions and occasionally represent the team in cross-team initiatives.
  • Enrich our products with your own ideas and give technically sound feedback to product owners and UI/UX regarding new and existing features.

Das wünschen wir uns:

Have you completed a technical degree or comparable work experience? Are you interested in becoming part of our English speaking, agile Android team and are keen to make use of new technologies? Are you driven to deliver outstanding apps and features? Are you showing a "hands-on" work attitude? In that case, we’re looking to receive your application.

  • 3+ years of experience in native Android software development.
  • Good knowledge of software design and architecture principles, Kotlin and Android specific tech stack (e.g. Jetpack, Coroutines, Dagger2, etc). Knowing Java is a plus.
  • Theoretical and practical knowledge in Unit and Integration Tests as well as in Continuous Integration and Delivery. Knowing UI testing frameworks is a plus.
  • Hands on experience with REST-APIs.
  • Good communication skills and desire to work in a multinational cross-functional Scrum team that is passionate about Android development.

Das möchten wir Ihnen noch sagen:

  • Our corporate culture: „You“ culture and no dress code, flat hierarchies, open and transparent communication
  • Individual development opportunities: diverse training courses, e-learning and internal communities, language courses, mentoring
  • Events: Slack Days, open source projects, meet-ups
  • Relocation service: support with the relocation to Germany
  • Benefits and additional services: company pension scheme, capital-forming benefits, discounts on own products, job ticket, bike leasing, corporate benefits portal
  • Attractive working conditions: 30 days holiday, hybrid working 2 days home office/week or remote work, full-time and part-time arrangements, free choice between Linux, Mac or Windows
  • Social: team events, summer and winter parties, family and care service, sports and fitness programmes, subsidised canteen, free fruit and drinks, health courses
  • Topics that are also important to us: Sustainability, diversity and our values and leadership principles - find out more on our website mail-and-media.com
