Für unser PaaS Integrations Team sind wir auf der Suche nach einer motivierten Führungskraft, die unser Team fachlich und disziplinarisch führt. Die Stelle hat einen starken Hands-on Charakter, sodass Sie aktiv an den täglichen Teamaufgaben mitarbeiten.

Die Aufgabe unseres Teams besteht aus zwei wesentlichen Teilen: Wir unterstützen unsere Nachbarteams durch die Bereitstellung von Templates, die diese als solide Grundlage für ihre eigenen Microservices und Produkte nutzen können. Darüber hinaus werden die Teams bei der Arbeit an ihren Projekten betreut, gecoacht und unterstützt. Somit stellen wir sicher, dass alles in die IONOS Cloud PaaS-Landschaft passt.

Unsere Landschaft basiert auf Cloud-nativen Toolchains, der Programmiersprache Go, Kubernetes und Kubernetes-Operatoren.

Wir bauen und verbessern die Codebasis, mit der neue Projekte in der Regel beginnen. Unsere Beispielquellen, Pipelines, Test-Frameworks und Dokumentationen zielen darauf ab, den Start neuer Projekte für alle anderen Teams schnell, einfach und sicherzumachen und die Projekte langfristig zu warten.

Das Team befindet sich derzeit noch im Aufbau. Wir suchen jemanden, die/der sich unserem Team anschließt und mit uns an der Bereitstellung der bestmöglichen Lösungen arbeitet. In dieser Rolle berichten Sie direkt an den Head of Platform as a Service.

Ihre Aufgaben im Detail:

• Fachliche und disziplinarische Führung des Teams, inkl. Verantwortung für den Teamausbau (Recruiting).
• Sicherstellung einer gesunden Teamatmosphäre und guten Kommunikationsstruktur im Team.
• Unterstützung der Teammitglieder bei deren individuellen Entwicklung mithilfe von Coaching, Beratung und/oder Mentoring.
• Planung und Durchführung komplexer technischer Projekte.
• Fachliche Zusammenarbeit mit wichtigen internen Schnittstellen, wie den technischen (Team-) Leiter*innen.
• Erstellung von Best-Practice Vorlagen für neue und bestehende Microservices und Produktintegrationen in Bezug auf die Codebasis, CI/CD, Tests, Instrumentierung usw.
• Ansprechpartner für andere Entwickler*innen in Bezug auf alle Aspekte der Integration und der Anpassung ihrer Projekte an die IONOS-Cloud-Landschaft.
• Unterstützung anderer Entwicklungsteams mit Frameworks, Workshops, Coaching, Dokumentation, Service Templates, usw.

• Agiles Mindset und umfassende Erfahrung mit modernen Entwicklungsverfahren.
• Erfahrung mit der Führung von Teams. Idealerweise auch Erfahrungen im Bereich Coaching und Mentoring.
• Solide praktische Erfahrung mit der Entwicklung von Microservices und REST-APIs, vorzugsweise in Go- und Cloud-nativen Umgebungen.
• Solide praktische Erfahrung mit DevOps-Tools und CI/CD-Pipelines.
• Konstruktive, hilfsbereite Denkweise, Freude an einer funktionsübergreifenden Rolle.
• Fähigkeit, komplexe Ideen in schriftlicher und mündlicher Form sowie in Präsentationsform zu vermitteln.
• Erfahrung mit Kubernetes-Container-Orchestrierung und Helm-Charts.
• Erfahrung im Recruiting, der Durchführung von Interviews sowie dem Onboarding und der Bindung von neuen Mitarbeitenden/Teams.

We are looking for someone passionate about leading our Integrations team in order to provide excellent frameworks, guidance and services. This person will be responsible for motivating and monitoring engineers, providing coaching and aid in personal growth and development.

This is a hand-on position. You will be taking part in the team’s daily tasks.

In our team, we have two main tasks. The first is building good templates and examples for other teams, so that they have solid foundations for their own microservices and products. The other task is to on-board, train, coach and support these teams while they work on their projects, making sure everything fits into the IONOS Cloud PaaS landscape.

Our landscape is based on cloud-native toolchains, the Go programming language, Kubernetes and Kubernetes operators.

We build and improve the code base that new projects will typically start from. Our example sources, pipelines, test frameworks and documentation aim to make it fast, easy and secure to start new projects across all other teams, as well as maintaining these projects long-term.

This cross-functional team is currently being founded and in its early stages will gather wisdom from existing products before designing the guidelines and tools for future projects.

This role reports to the Head of IONOS Platform as a Service.

Your tasks:

• Managing, maintaining and recruiting an excellent engineering team.
• Planning and executing complex technical projects.
• Collaboration with technical leads.
• Maintain and improve team performance and quality of life.
• Create a healthy team culture and transparent communication.
• Providing coaching and counseling via mentoring and one-to-one meetings.
• Developing best-practice templates for new and existing microservices and product integrations in terms of code base, CI/CD, testing, instrumentation, etc.
• Serving as a mentor and point of contact for other developers regarding all aspects of integration and fitting their projects into the IONOS cloud landscape.
• Supporting other development teams with frameworks, workshops, coaching, documentation, service templates and more.

• Agile mindset and extensive experience with modern development practices.
• Some experience managing, coaching and mentoring software engineers.
• Solid hands-on experience with developing microservices and REST APIs, preferably in Go and cloud-native environments.
• Solid hands-on experience with DevOps tools and CI/CD pipelines.
• A constructive, helpful mindset, enjoying a cross-functional developer support role.
• Ability to convey complex ideas in written, verbal and presentational formats.
• Experience with Kubernetes container orchestration and helm charts.
• Some experience with staffing, interviewing, building and retaining teams.
